Requirements : Appropriate qualifications that allow registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Neurosurgery. Registration with the HPCSA as Medical specialist in Neurosurgery. No trip required after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical specialist in Neurosurgery. The following will be delivered advantage: three years’ experience after registration with HPCSA as a Medical specialist in General Surgery. Knowledge and Competencies: Must have a sturdy document of scientific governance; medical expertise; surgical skills; coaching and teaching at each beneath -and- post- graduate levels. Publication file will be an added advantage. Must have desirable interpersonal, leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Possess sound knowledge of Human Resources Management, budgeting and statistics management. Knowledge of relevant Health and Public Service legislation, guidelines and insurance policies including medical ethics. Have the capacity to consider new applied sciences and figure out on the most economical implementation thereof.
Duties : Effective overall administration of the surgical unit. Assess and make sure properly quality scientific carrier shipping by: improvement and implementation of guidelines; supplying training and assist to students, medical interns, neighborhood service doctors, nursing staff, clinical officers and specialists in the unit. Management and manage of equipment. Optimize use of Human and different resources. Participate in applicable health facility and administration committees. Encourage and aid relevant research and publications. Contribute to digital databases for lookup purposes. Strategize and implement outreach programmes. Provide after hour expert services.
