SALARY : R138 486 per annum
CENTRE : Oudtshoorn Hospital

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum requirement: Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Experience: Appropriate journey in a health facility and Porter environment. Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work shifts, together with nightshift, weekends, beyond regular time and public holidays. Willingness to do mortuary duties, i.e., elimination of corpse from wards. The capability to operate duties such as lifting patient’s from/onto beds, trolleys and wheelchairs and remain on your feet for long hours. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good interpersonal family members skills. Communication abilities (written and verbal). Ability to work cooperatively within a group context.

DUTIES : Accompany taking walks sufferers and transport sitting/non-walking sufferers per trolley or wheelchair between wards and remedy areas. Assist with loading sufferers into and out of ambulances/vehicles. Assist with the transfer of patients to beds/trolleys and vice versa. Responsible for the transportation of corpses from wards to the mortuary, coming into important points in the mortuary register and to blame for cleansing the mortuary. Direct or accompany visitors to a range of destinations and reply to requests from wards/clinics. Carry scientific and different documentation (patient files, reports, etc.) to wards/treatment and other admin areas. Support for the supervisor and group members.
