Western TVET College is inviting applications for 2 permanent Cleaner positions at its Carletonville and Krugersdorp West campuses.

These are permanent PERSAL appointments offering a salary of R144 024 per annum plus benefits.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

• Grade 10 OR ABET Level 4
• Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety requirements
• Basic knowledge of hand tools
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Ability to read instructions and notices
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work under pressure and when longer hours are required
• Knowledge of hygiene and facilities procedures
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidates will:

• Sweep, scrub and clean floors.
• Dust and wax office furniture.
• Clean walls and windows.
• Collect and remove waste.
• Empty and wash waste bins.
• Take recyclable materials to the disposal area.
• Keep office areas clean and fresh.
• Clean campus kitchens and basins.
• Wash and pack kitchen utensils.
• Clean toilets and other ablution facilities.
• Clean foyers and corridors.
• Maintain general cleanliness throughout the campus buildings.
