SALARY : R138 486 per annum

CENTRE : Tygerberg Hospital, Parow Valley

Minimum requirement: Basic numeracy and literacy. Experience: Appropriate journey in a healthcare environment. Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work shifts and ability to file for duty at 6:30 (weekends included). Willingness to handle bodies (corpses). Ability to manage heavy objects. Willingness to work irregular hours as required. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good talk skills. Ability to adhere to protection standards, infection control, and prevention of move contamination. Ability to format and organise work functions for Porter schedules.

DUTIES : (key result areas/outputs): Transport sufferers and corpses. Transport blood specimens from more than a few wards to a variety of laboratories and vice versa. Assist with loading of patients in and out of ambulances, vehicles, to & from, beds, trolleys, or wheelchairs and vice versa. Responsible for collecting and cleaning of wheelchairs, trolleys and blood hampers.
