HOUSEHOLD AID (8 POSTS)

SALARY : R138 486 per annum

CENTRE : Tygerberg Hospital, Parow Valley

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum requirement: Basic numeracy and literacy. Experience: Appropriate journey in a healthcare environment. Inherent necessities of the job: Ability to operate physical tasks, along with lifting and moving equipment. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good verbal verbal exchange skills. Ability to adhere to security standards, infection prevention and control practices, and prevention of cross-contamination. Ability to graph and organise cleaning tasks in accordance to work schedules. Knowledge of clinic hygiene requirements and capacity to participate in hygiene audits. Understanding of and compliance with cleaning management, hospital waste management, and linen management protocols.

DUTIES : (key result areas/outputs): Perform cleansing duties in clinical and non-clinical areas, inclusive of mopping, sweeping, dusting, scrubbing, polishing, and maintaining well-known neatness. Conduct deep cleansing as required. Execute terminal cleaning in isolation and high-risk areas in accordance with contamination control protocols. Support the Housekeeping Supervisor through ensuring guidelines are carried out timeously and accurately. Ensure cleansing gear is used correctly, cleaned after use, and saved securely. Maintain desirable inventory control and accountable use of cleansing substances and supplies.
