FOOD SERVICES AID

SALARY : R138 486 per annum

CENTRE : Tygerberg Hospital, Parow Valley

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum requirement: Basic numeracy and literacy. Experience: Appropriate trip in a large-scale Industrial Food Service Unit. Inherent necessities of the job: Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Ability to work in giant scale freezers and bloodless rooms. Physically strong to raise heavy objects and be on their feet theentire day. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to characteristic in a team and to work below pressure. Ability to prepare food in accordance to standardised recipes. Knowledge of National Food Service Guidelines. Knowledge of fundamental cleaning and upkeep of equipment. Good communication skills.

DUTIES : (key result areas/outputs): Prepare, dish up and serve meals for normal and exclusive diets. Assist with the receipt, storage and stock control of meals supplies. Follow and hold hygiene and security directives such as the use of equipment and equipment, washing of crockery and cooking utensils. Assist with the informal in-service education of new employees. Attend prescribed education courses.
