What are we searching for?
We are searching for anyone with the following experience, skills and /or skillsets:
Valid Driver’s Licence (EC1 or C1 – Heavy motor vehicle up to 16000kg) and PDP.
Fluent in English.
Experience in riding a school bus or comparable type of position would be a recommendation.
Responsible for performing more than a few tasks as required of a driver.
Punctuality.
Must be helpful, energetic, accountable and reliable.
May be required to work additional time from to time.
Able to communicate with learners, dad and mom and staff.
Enthusiastic and trustworthy.
Able to work in a team.
Minimum requirement of a Grade 12 (Matric).
A clear criminal record.
The obligations are:
Learner transportation
Drives a college transportation car inside a prescribe route(s) in accordance with time schedules.
Picking up and discharging students at unique stops.
Transports college students and instructor on area journeys to a variety of locations; planning indispensable route(s) and stops as needed.
Maintains order a proper discipline of pupil passengers according to district policy.
General Worker Duties
General Maintenance and facility support
Receive requests for maintenance of facilities.
Check facilities every day to check that the entirety is working and maintained.
Complete any facilities or protection required such as plumbing.
Make services manager aware of any repairs required.
Complete all regular preservation across the facility.
Check preservation consumables and advise facilities manager of requirements.
Store and preserve equipment for maintenance.
Provide frequent help on safety and get right of entry to manage throughout the facilities.
Provides popular aid on site visitors management.
Garden Maintenance.
Review daily work roster for required duties.
Maintenance grass and flower beds.
Cleaning and maintaining the backyard across the facility.
Advise the services supervisor of necessities in the garden.
Check gardening consumables and advocate facilities manager of requirements.
Store and hold tools for gardening.
Health and Safety
Conduct protection and operational inspection of assigned automobile daily.
Reports wished mechanical repairs when necessary.
Services buses with gas, diesel fuel, and oil; tests and when necessary, fills tires and batteries.
Performs periodical security drills as required by law, completing fundamental reports upon request.
Maintains cleanliness of vehicle to make sure safe working condition.
Attends various meetings regarding safety, first aid and education updates as required.
Record keeping
Completes periodic mileage and different reports which includes passenger counts.
The successful candidate will start on 01 January 2026.
