REQUIREMENTS : Minimum academic qualification: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std 7). Experience: Appropriate ride in a Central Sterile Supply Department placing in a health facility environment. Inherent necessities of the job: Basic literacy, each written and verbally. Willingness to work shifts (day and night duty), which include weekends and public holidays. Physically match to carry heavy objects, push heavy trolleys, bend down, and remain on toes for lengthy hours. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good interpersonal family members skills. Ability to work in a co-operative way within a crew context.
DUTIES : Collect and supply dirty and smooth linen and packs to and from theatre and wards. Effective application of sterilisation tactics and techniques and promote/adhere to infection control as properly as health and protection regulations. Decontaminate, pack and sterilisation of instruments, linen, and supplies. Assist with cleansing and trying out of sterilisation equipment, washing machines and autoclaves and preserve tools in an superior working condition. Cost high-quality utilisation of resources, monitor, control, maintain ample inventory tiers and record and aid with investigation of lost instruments/equipment. Support to the supervisor and crew members.
