FOOD SERVICES AID (SUPPORT SERVICES)

REQUIREMENTS:Minimum requirement: Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Experience: Appropriate trip in a large-scale meals carrier unit, which includes the operating of large-scale kitchen equipment as well as the training of normal and therapeutic diets. Inherent necessities of the job: Ability to do physical duties and function heavy-duty kitchen and cleaning equipment. Ability to work with cleaning materials, do high-dusting and lifting of heavy gear and supplies. Ability to be on your toes for a length of 12 hours per day. Willingness to work shifts in the course of the day, weekends, public holidays and time beyond regulation if requested. Competencies (knowledge/skills): The potential to put together ingredients in accordance to standardized recipes, as well as safely and effectively manage industrial equipment. Basic know-how of the meals service hygiene and safety principles. Conflict management.

DUTIES : Perform all duties emanating from the pre-preparation and manufacturing of all full and therapeutic diets. Perform all duties emanating from the dishing, distribution and serving food to patients at a number wards. Clean and hold all areas, utensils and tools in the food carrier unit and maintain protection and hygiene standards. Assist with the receipt, secure storage and issuing of meals provisions and different products. Assist with the casual in-service education of new employees.
