HOSPITAL HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std7)

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std7). Experience: Appropriate housekeeping experience in a hospital environment. Inherent necessities of the job: Ability to operate physical tasks, e.g. lifting heavy equipment. Willingness to works shifts, weekends, public holidays & night time duty. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Appropriate supervisory capabilities and most reliable utilisation of sub-ordinates. Ability to function pursuits structured tasks. Ability to adhere to protection standards, together with Infection Prevention and Control. Understanding of health facility waste management, linen management, catering and time management.

DUTIES : Maintain a excessive popular of hygiene and tidiness in the unit/institution. Order and manipulate stock and kitchen/cleaning tools to grant a secure surroundings to forestall safety hazards. Support nursing personnel with nonnursing functions. Adhere to the Code of Conduct and show the core values of the Department of Health: Western Cape Government in the execution of duties. Supervision, co-ordination, manage and inspection of the duties of the family aids. Provide food and drink to patients.
