Faircape Restaurant and Catering, section of Faircape Life retirement villages, operates in 6 top areas throughout the Western Cape, providing dining offerings to village residents and patients in the onsite healthcare centres.

We are looking for Waiters to be a part of our teams at Heritage Manor and Bridgewater Manors in Somerset West. (Preference will be given to candidates residing nearer to the Somerset West area)

The profitable candidates will be accountable for ensuring guests and residents are served with professionalism, efficiency and courtesy.

Job obligations include, however are now not constrained to the following:

Changing desk linen as required and making sure dirty or broken linen is counted and exchanged for clean, usable items.
Cleaning and refilling cruet and condiment sets.
Setting tables to laid-down standards, ensuring that all items used are clean, undamaged and in a correct nation of repair.
Maintain distinctive areas to meet required hygiene standards
Have thorough know-how of all menu gadgets to confidently endorse or provide an explanation for selections to residents.
Serving meals and drinks in accordance with laid-down standards, maintaining a expert and courteous demeanor.
Practicing first-rate customer members of the family at all times, accommodating resident needs besides inconveniencing other guests.
Handling patron complaints successfully and reporting all complaints to the manager.
Assisting with daily, weekly and month-to-month stock audits, reporting variances or breakages to your manager.
Restock and replenish bar stock and supplies.
Ensuring accurate billing of orders and reporting any errors to the manager.
Maintaining high requirements of personal hygiene and grooming.
Be willing to aid backyard of everyday working hours with non-public occasions as required.

Experience and knowledge:

Proven experience as Waiter
Bartending and Barista journey advantageous
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work as section of a team
Knowledge of serving etiquette and simple wine knowledge
Skills and Attributes:

Excellent interpersonal and verbal exchange skills
Demonstrates a sense of urgency

We provide a aggressive salary. The amount supplied will be established on qualifications, experience, and other market-related factors.

You complete profits will encompass Sundays – remunerated at time and a half, public vacation trips – double and quarterly bonuses paid every 3 months. Please note, quarterly bonuses are discretionary and based on person performance and enterprise performance.

Working hours:

You will be required to work 16.25 shifts per month.
Normal working days are Mondays to Sundays from 07h00 to 19h00, in accordance to the roster.
